“Your Mockingjay”, a poem/lyrics by me 

I’ll be your Mockingjay
To save you
To fall in love with you.

I promise, my love is real this time.
I’m risking it all for you tonight.
My life has lost it’s meaning, without you here.
I feel my heart is bleeding
I need you near.
I feel the end is coming, and you’re not here.
I promise you I’m coming, I’ll numb your fears.

Cause I’ll be your Mockingjay
To save you
To fall in love with you.

I’ve become a toy in their game
Their game that lost me you
But I won’t break; I’ll stay strong for you
Like you always needed me to
All the lies, they became real for me,
When I lost you in the Arena, that day.

But I promise, my love is real this time.

I stay locked up at night
Holding all the things so tight,
The things you gave me, and our memories
They are my one and only sanity
You aren’t here to make the
Nightmares disappear at night 

But I’ll be your Mockingjay
I’m not just a piece in their games
Just a piece for the sake of me and you
I’ll save you, you can count on me
Cause Peeta, I now know,
You’re everything to me.

I wrote this from Katniss’ point of view obviously during the first part of Mockingjay. I felt really emotional for her and wrote this about that feeling I had, and that I felt she had. I’ve been slowly working on making it a song with my friend Neil, that I hope to have done really soon. and Yes ladies, he LOVES THG and he’s really cute AND a musician, and just my best friend! So he’s open to takers. Please don’t steal these, they are copyrighted. If you want them for any reason, please ask. I have a melody down so far for it and Neil is writing the music. I am so excited! Let me know what you think lovely tributes. Maybe I can be on the Mockingjay soundtrack way down the line!
